Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize the production processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement production schedules and workflows.
- Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams to develop and introduce new products or improve existing products.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement new technologies to streamline production processes.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in production engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical, biotech, chemistry Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Engineer or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
- Proficiency in using production software and tools, such as CAD, CAM, and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Malaysian citizenship or valid work permit.
